Step is a physical product with a free companion app. Every Anchor arrives with an access code that unlocks the app's features, so the software only works with our hardware, never with other objects or accessories. To use Step, you buy the Anchor.
How your phone and the Anchor recognize each other is ours to keep. What matters is what you feel: you stand up, you check in across the room, and the morning is already underway.

Place the Anchor across the room
Mount it as far from your bed as your morning needs: the bathroom door, the kitchen wall, the far end of the hallway. Every mount is tested on textured walls, painted doors, and appliances.

Unlock the app with your access code
Open Step and enter the access code that comes in the box. Two minutes, once, and the app is yours for good. No account gymnastics, no email required.

Wake up standing
Set your alarm as usual and choose how many snoozes you allow. After that, your alarm ends where the Anchor is and nowhere else. By the time it's quiet, your morning has already started.
